A Windows machine set up on a quiet Sunday
The trading week restarts in the small hours of Monday and runs until Friday has turned into Saturday, while the weekend at home falls on Friday and Saturday. Sunday therefore lands at a desk with the market still shut: no quotes moving, nothing to react to, and time free for the work a phone handles badly.
That work is what a desktop terminal is for. Chart templates, indicator settings, timeframes and the instrument list are saved once and come back exactly as they were left, and several windows can be compared side by side with a mouse rather than a thumb. Installing is a single pass, and the installers come from the account area after signing in.
The machine does not own the account, though. Whatever is prepared on Windows shows up on a phone during the week, and on a computer where installing software is not an option the browser platform opens the same charts. All of them report the same open positions.
How Exness runs on a Windows PC
On a desktop PC, Exness runs through the MetaTrader 5 and MetaTrader 4 Windows terminals, which install on Windows 10 and Windows 11. The download links are in the Exness account area once you have signed in.
Desktop app or web on the PC
If you would rather not install a desktop app, the Exness Terminal runs in any browser on the PC with nothing to download. MetaTrader gives more advanced charting and automated trading; the web terminal starts without an install.

- Open an Exness account and sign in to the account area.
- Choose MetaTrader 5 or MetaTrader 4 for Windows.
- Download and run the installer on Windows 10 or 11.
- Log in with your Exness account details.
